Ready to get some serious work done. I will be working on my web site http://www.photo-losophyglenda.weebly.com today. Hope to get several new photos on it and do some rearranging. It will probably take me a few days to get done what I need to do.
I have some red hibiscus bloomed and will get some photos of them. The blooms are huge!
If this blog thing is not right someone please tell me. I don't have a very interesting life and I don't want to bore you to death. There is not much going on around here right now. I have looked at a great deal of beautiful photography on Facebook. There is some real talent out there. Everyone have a good day and week

Need to remember to "blog"!
Yes I almost forgot about this blogging thing.
I have taken some short road trips and gotten many new photos. We drove to two of the other four covered bridges in Missouri. The last one is located down in southeast Missouri and will take more than a one day road trip.
The photos are posted on face book. I have not had time to put them on the web site yet.
The exhibit in Maplewood is done and down. The one in Chesterfield will finish the end of July. I have done some more submissions and have more planned. I have a submission in "Domestic Minimalism" on Facebook. Please go the page and click "like"on my photo. The photo has been dedicated to a friends granddaughter and titled "Tara's Tree". So please give it a look.
Nothing else going here. I will try to find more interesting things to "blog" about. Everyone have a good day, night, evening etc...........................

Locust Covered Bridge-One of four in the state of Missourii
We took a road trip today and located the Locust Creek covered bridge. It was quite different from the Union covered bridge. I posted some digital photos on Facebook. I don't like a couple of them. I will get the 35mm posted in a few days. This bridge was built using the Howe-truss system. If you want to learn more about the bridge and the construction system, check out Wiki Pediaor Missouri State Parks web site. The inside of the bridge was very dark and I had to use flash to get a good photograph. I don't like using flash but in this instance it was needed. The bridge has carved graffitti not painted. The graffitti were names and dates of peoples visits. Overall, it was worth the three hour drive to find the bridge. I had a major problem with the site, it was not handicap accessible. I am going to contact the state park department(own and maintain the bridge) and let them know they need to make it handicap accessible. My husband was unable to walk the quarter mile to see the bridge.
I love history but many people don't. Give me a museum, old house, old book, or historic site and I am as happy as a clam. I like the feeling of nostalgia and the atmosphere. I can almost hear and feel what it was like. The Locust Creek bridge had that old wood smell, it was great and you could begin to smell it before you could see the bridge just around the curve on the path. Locust Creek has changed it's course as all rivers, streams and creeks do over time. The creek does not run under the bridge anymore. Gen. John J. Pershing grew up not far from where the bridge is located. Literature states he probably used the bridge. The bridge is west of where Pershing grew up in Laclede, MO.
Ok, so this is boring but it fascinates me. I did not think I would ever learn about wooden bridge construction, but I have. One other thing about where the bridge is located, it was once part of Americas first transcontinental highway, Route 8. See, I did not know about that, did you? History lesson over.
I will share what I learn on my trips to photograph interesting places and things. Just to let you know so you will be prepared.

I will try this one
New to blogging. Trying to get this right.
My family and I are taking a road trip tomorrow. I am going to find new material for my site.
Trying to get my work marketed and acquire a following is difficult. I have been pushing it very hard for over a year now. I have taken photographs for years but never tried to market and sell them. Any advice would quite helpful. I have done art and craft fairs, exhibits and had one published in an on line magazine. I received honorable mentions, sold a couple small prints. At this time I have worked exhibited at a friends cafe in Missouri which from what she tells me has generated quite a bit of interest.
The market I have been trying to break into the last year seems unable to accept new artist/photographers, etc. So I will expand my horizons and branch out to other areas.
I will continue to submit and eventually it will happen.
